Beer tasting following hike at new brewery in Los Gatos for those interested.Hike leader Jim Baker (408) 354-4850 or bakers99@comcast.net. Just found out the annual Great Race from Saratoga to Los Gatos is happening on this date and will result in certain road closures. Therefore, morning traffic will NOT be able to make a U-turn at Santa Cruz Ave. and Hwy 9 in Los Gatos and will instead have to turn RIGHT on Santa Cruz Ave. from Hwy 9 and then right again on Andrews St. over to University Ave, turning right again and then back to Hwy 9 where you will turn left at the traffic light to be able to enter Hwy 17 going south toward the Bear Creek Rd. exit and then left on Black Rd. Meet at Los Gatos parking lot at 8:30 am to carpool. Limited parking at trailhead, so imperative to carpool to the max.
