For all hikes: Bring lunch, liquid and clothing appropriate for the season (summer fog, winter rain).
Some hikes may be canceled or changed due to the weather; please see statement in each hike description.
Call the hike leader if you are not sure.
For trail maintenance: Wear long pants, boots, and long-sleeved shirt and bring gloves as well as lunch and liquid.

Trail Maintenance - Skyline to the Sea Trail— Al Lisin, (408) 252-8106, leads a group that maintains the Skyline to the Sea Trail. This group now meets on the first Saturday of the month. The group meets at 9:00 am. Please call Al for meeting place (which changes).

Marin Headlands - Tennessee Valley A nine-mile loop hike with beautiful ocean views and a walk through Green Gulch Zen Center. Start up the Miwok trail, then Coyote and Green Gulch trails with lunch at Muir Beach. Return on the Coastal Trail to Tennessee Valley. About 1800' total elevation gain. Big Basin Trail Maintenance— Meet Jeff Bleam at park headquarters at 9:00 for some hands-on trail work. This group meets the second Saturday of each month. Call (831) 338-0774.

Almaden Quicksilver County Parks; Starting at Mockingbird Hill entrance, hike on New Almaden trail, Cinnabar trail and return on Randol trail. Moderate hike about 10 miles. Please arrange your own car-pool. Leader will be at the park entrance (Mockingbird Hill) at 9.30 to start the hike. North County folks can carpool at 9:00 from the parking lot next to the Hobee’s at 800 West Ahwanee Ave, Sunnyvale. Leader: Vivian Jung (408) 238-3388.

Castle Rock State Park Trail Maintenance— The third Saturday of every month Kevin McDevitt leads trail work in the Castle Rock area. Meet at Saratoga Gap parking lot at 9:00. Call Kevin at (408) 733-3333. Bring boots and gloves, lunch and liquid. Tools are supplied but bring your own favorites if you prefer.

Joseph D. Grant county park, From the parking, hike Los Huecos trail(up hill) towards Canada de Pala trail, lunch near Antler Point off Pala Seca trail. Wilder Ranch Moderate Hike, 10 miles. Meet at 8:30 in Los Gatos, municipal parking lot to carpool; or at 9:30 from the main Wilder Ranch parking lot on Highway 1. San Francisco Coastal Trail to PresidioStart at Lands End Lookout Center, and hike towards the Golden Gate Bridge along Coastal Trail, then explore the Presidio in the afternoon. Carpool at Page Mill Park and Ride at 8:30am or meet at Lands End Lookout Center Parking Lot at 9:30am( 680 Point Lobos Ave, SF) Peter 650-521-4165.

Wunderlich County Park- 4040 Woodside Road, Woodside CA Meeting at 9:30 at the parking lot of Wunderlich County Park. Parking lot can fill on a Sunday, but there is plenty of parking along Woodside Road. No host Car Pool at Pagemill Park and Ride at 9:10. Second carpool in the town of Woodside behind the Pioneer Hotel, upper parking lot, at 9;10. Hike up to Skyline and have lunch on the other side of 35 then back to the cars. Bathrooms and water at the trail head. Not sure of the elevation gain, but guessing 1500 feet? This will be a 10 to 11 mile hike. Heavy rain cancels. Nancy Davidson 650-575-5889, walkernan1@att.net.

Picchetti Ranch Note: hike venue has changed. Carpool from Page Mill/280 at 9:00; or plan your own car pool. Start hiking from the Picchetti Ranch parking lot at 9:30 am. Let's get out despite the rain. This will be a nice 4 to 5 mile, fairly level stroll through Picchetti Ranch OSP (and a bit of Stevens Creek Park). Partly shaded route reaching a creek. This will be an out-and-back hike along the Zinfandel, Orchard Loop, and Creek Trails, ending back at Picchetti Ranch Winery for wine tasting and lunch. Anyone who is interested is invited to bring a picnic food to share. Also bring money if you would like to join in the wine tasting and/or share a bottle of wine over lunch. We will plan the winter hike schedule over lunch, so please bring your calendar and your ideas for January, February, or March hikes. Sierra Vista Open Space Preserve The hike will be in Sierra Vista Open Space Preserve next door to Alum Rock Park. It will be in and out hike with elevation lost ?and gain? We will be scouting this trail together that we will be hiking on. The trails are Sierra vista and Lower Calaveras Fault. We will be hiking down towards the canyon and back up. I will be at the car parking lot at Pentincia creek park which is located at the Berryessa Community center at 9.00am. if you are interested in doing this hike. It will be about 9 miles but with a few ups and downs. We will car-pool at Penitencia creek park (3050 Berryessa Rd. SJ) at 9.00am. Or meet at the parking lot off Sierra Rd. at 9.30am. Mission Peak We will hike mostly on fire roads from Sunol to Mission Peak. Great views from the top! Parking fees $5.00 per vehicle plus $2.00 per person for hiking the wilderness trails. Windy Hill Open Space Preserve Razorback Ridge - Spring Ridge. This 9.8 mile hike is always a perfect hike. 1800 ft. elevation gain, moderate difficulty. Stevens Creek County ParkThis is a 9 mi. hike. Meet at the Chestnut picnic area parking lot pay station (if it is out of order this is a free hike). We will hike the Tony Look trail and return the Coyote Ridge trail. Heavy Rain Cancels. Please form your own carpool.
