For all hikes: Bring lunch, liquid and clothing appropriate for the season (summer fog, winter rain).
Some hikes may be canceled or changed due to the weather; please see statement in each hike description.
Call the hike leader if you are not sure.
For trail maintenance: Wear long pants, boots, and long-sleeved shirt and bring gloves as well as lunch and liquid.

Trail Maintenance - Skyline to the Sea Trail— Al Lisin, (408) 252-8106, leads a group that maintains the Skyline to the Sea Trail. This group now meets on the first Saturday of the month. The group meets at 9:00 am. Please call Al for meeting place (which changes).

Mount Madonna Sprig Lake/Mount Madonna County Park— A moderate 9 mile hike with approx 1,800ft elevation gain. Meet at the Sprig Lake parking lot, just off highway 152, at 9:30 a.m. or carpool from the Park and Ride at Highway 85 and Cottle Road at 8:45 a.m. Call Ed La Pointe at (408) 243-7194 or Mark Bowden (408) 785-8736.

Gazos Creek Road This will be an exploratory hike! Bring your sense of adventure. We will hike a total of approximately 10 miles towards Berry Creek falls, out and back. The trail is mostly shaded in redwood forest. Carpool at Los Gatos Municipal parking lot at 7.50 am. Or meet at 9.30 at trailhead at gate on Gazos Creek Road, six miles from Hwy 1. Castle Rock State Park Trail Maintenance— The third Saturday of every month Kevin McDevitt leads trail work in the Castle Rock area. Meet at Saratoga Gap parking lot at 9:00. Call Kevin at (408) 733-3333. Bring boots and gloves, lunch and liquid. Tools are supplied but bring your own favorites if you prefer.

HiddenVilla/Foothill Park Beginning at the Hidden Villa parking lot ($10 parking fee), we will hike up the Long Bunny Loop Trail and at the highest point branch uphill on an unnamed trail and then a paved private road to Page Mill Rd. We cross Page Mill and then hike to the Page Mill Trail descending from Los Trancos OSP to the Los Trancos Trail in Foothill Park. Then we hike the Toyon Trail to the park exit. Finally we hike a private road (Central Dr.) and a dirt road back to Hidden Villa. Distance is 9.5 miles and 1700' total elevation gain. Our lunch stop will be in Foothill Park. Wilder Ranch Note: This his was changed from Marin Headlands due to big fire burning 150 miles north of SF. We will hike our usual trail from Wilder Ranch, up the hill, then along the bluffs back for a moderate 9 mile hike. S.F. Presidio Hike I am planning around a 9 to 10 mile hike around the Presidio - Crissy Field, Officer's Club, National Cemetery Overlook, Starbucks, Yoda, Immigrant Point overlook and the Batteries to Bluffs Trail. Bring layers, water and lunch and let's have fun exploring the Presidio. No host car pool at Page Mill at 8:30 and a host car pool at Edgewood Park and Ride at 8:40 - or meet at the East Beach Parking lot at Crissy Field close to the Crissy Field Center at 1199E Beach street in San Francisco. Pescadero Creek County Park Pescadero-Creek-Park From the Tarwater trail head, hike the Tarwater trail, Canyon trail, East brook trail, and Pomponio trail. Eat lunch at Shaw Flat trail camp. Continue on Pomponio trail and Shingle Mill trail back to the cars. Moderate hike of about 10 miles. Directions to Pescadero Creek Park: from Page Mill park and ride, take Page Mill to Alpine Road, left on Pomponio road to Tarwater Trailhead parking. Heavy rain/wind cancels.
