Golden Gate Bridge-Marin Headlands: Over the bridge to the Coastal trail, along the SCA trail and Morning Sun to Sausalito, back on Bridgeway then descend into the Baker Fort area, Discovery Museum and Vista Point. 10-11 miles moderate hike. Meet at Battery East parking lot, first dirt lot EAST of the Bridge on the San Francisco side. Angel Island State Park: A 7 mile loop around Angel Island including a trek up Mt. Livermore. We will catch the Blue and Gold Ferry at Pier 41, leaving at 9:40 AM and departing Angel Island at 2:55 PM Tickets are $15 round trip, purchased at Pier 39 box office. Wunderlich County Park: Explore this County Park with Janet McCarron (408) 245-1519. A round trip to Skyline Blvd. and back is 11 miles and 1800 feet but the grade is easy. Meet for carpooling at the Page Mill Rd. Park and Ride just off 280 at 9:10 or at parking lot at park entrance at 9:30. DUE TO LIMITED PARKING AT WUNDERLICH PARK, CARPOOLING IS STRONGLY ENCOURAGED. |
